HEOR Ltd is currently expanding and seeking to recruit a highly motivated Medical Writer to join our team in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background, preferably from a HTA environment, as they will be predominantly responsible for the compilation of novel HTA submissions, based upon the current clinical landscape, clinical trial evidence and modelling outputs generated by the HEOR Ltd analysts.
Life sciences degree (providing a sound understanding of disease pathways and treatments)
Awareness of HTA process and guidance

Ability to communicate scientific information in a range of formats, with a strong emphasis on written communication skills.
Sound scientific understanding and analytical skills, with an exceptional eye for detail, accuracy and quality.

Ability to provide and respond to constructive feedback, as part of editing and quality control activities.

Main job responsibilities:
Critically appraise scientific data and provide strategic support in the development of value communications.
Assimilate and interpret complex data and concepts with appropriate guidance/direction from research teams and authors.
Compile HTA submission documentation that communicates the key value messages, both clinical and economic, of a novel therapeutic in the context of the current landscape.
Develop and maintain project management tools, including gantt charts, and liaise with clients as appropriate.
Oversee the work of junior colleagues, providing mentorship and training in the design, planning and execution of their tasks
Work independently and as part of a team to research, write, edit and proof copy to the highest scientific and editorial standards across a wide range of materials including abstracts, posters, peer-reviewed manuscripts and slide kits.
Competitive salary: GBP £35,000-£45,000 (dependent on experience)
