Congratulations to our graduates who successfully completed our Graduate Training Programme 2021-2022. All of our graduates have been offered and have accepted associate roles with HEOR across the different teams.
Here are the views of a few of our graduates of their experience on the GTP…

Being a part of the graduate training program is an opportunity that I will be grateful for throughout my working life
Having worked across three different departments in the company, I feel I will be very prepared to tackle any task my new department throws at me. In value communication, scientific writing and effective communication were covered, which formed the groundwork for all the work I have undertaken at HEOR until now and into the future. In the HTA department, I learned about organisation in a project, and how to foresee problems and solve them before they occur. These skills will help me throughout my time at HEOR and beyond for the rest of my working life. Finally, during my placement in market access, which I have now continued into my permanent role, I have learned about being detail orientated as well as seeing situations in a bigger picture to fully understand circumstances. HEOR also offered to teach the soft skills which are not taught in

The graduate training programme was a really positive, well-rounded experience
In September 2022, I started at HEOR as a graduate trainee. The programme kicked off with a training week, where we learnt about the industry and HEOR as an organisation, with senior members from each team running interactive workshops about their respective departments. We also had coaching sessions on personal development. The sessions were really informative and gave great insights into the type of work HEOR deliver. It was also great to get to know the other graduates and the social at Zerodegrees to finish it off was definitely a highlight!
Over the course of the year I spent time in the market access, health technology assessment and value communications departments. In each department, I gained valuable skills and knowledge through on the job learning and support from my technical mentors. After a number of weeks in each department I was able to put my training directly to use, with highlights including developing value story slide decks, conference posters, and an environmental strategy review. I also had the opportunity to attend client meetings, get stuck into high-level projects and present at our ‘Learn till Lunch’ sessions. Some of my favourite days were departmental workshops based in the Cardiff office, where we had learning sessions and discussions in an open and friendly environment. I learnt a lot from these workshops and I enjoyed working in person with my colleagues
The graduate training programme was a really positive, well rounded experience, and I feel I’ve had all the training and tools needed to start my new role as an associate market access consultant
